Thái Hưng Grinding Solutions
At Thái Hưng, we manufacture and provide two types of mills: the mesh-type AP-series and the screenless ZP-series. The mesh-type mill was introduced by Thái Hưng in 2016 for producing fish feed. We offer various models of mesh-type mills to meet different capacity requirements, from pilot-scale (AP-2) to industrial-scale (AP-10). The screenless mills, including models ZP-125, ZP-150, and ZP-170, are designed for industrial-scale production.
Grinding System
The complete Thái Hưng vertical grinding system includes a material hopper, feeder, mill, cyclone, dust filter, suction fan, and sifter.
1. Material is introduced into the grinding chamber slowly and continuously through the feeder.
2. Inside the grinding chamber, rotating hammers and stationary liners apply impact force to break the material into small particles.
3. A material separator, similar to a turbine, classifies the material, allowing only fine particles to pass through.
4. The cyclone separates heavier particles from the air stream, directing them into the sifter, while the dust filter removes ultrafine particles from the air.
5. The fine material is discharged and sent to the sifter.
Benefits of Fine Powder
When there is a need to produce small pellets or achieve a smooth pellet surface, a grinder can be very useful. Many manufacturers seek fine powder (up to 80 mesh/177 µm). There are several benefits to having fine powder:
1. Enhanced steam penetration for hydration and heating
2. Fine particles can increase production speed
3. Increased bulk density of the pellets
4. Improved smoothness of the pellet surface
5. Better particle adhesion
6. Reduced friction on the die surface
Purpose of the Plansifter
The purpose of the plansifter is to separate larger particles from the flour (primarily fibers). Fibers are light and flexible, making them difficult to break when exposed to the hammer. The fiber separation process begins in the grinder. Depending on the type of feed being produced, the fibers may or may not be returned to the grinder for further milling. With the existing system, the fineness of the fine powder can reach up to 80 mesh, with a pass rate of 98%.
